UNIgreen Inaugural Conference

Join us in the Inaugural Conference of the UNIgreen project, which aims to present the mission, goals and values of The Green European University – UNIgreen, created as part of the European Universities initiative.
The conference will take place on 31 January 2023 in the SGGW Crystal Hall [Aula kryształowa SGGW]
What is UNIgreen?
UNIgreen is an Alliance of 8 European Higher Education Institutions that share the common vision of promoting excellence in the field of Sustainable Agriculture, Green Biotechnology and Environmental and Life Sciences.
It aims to strengthen the links between education, research, innovation, good practice and knowledge transfer to make the union a model European university in terms of higher education and Agro, Bio and Life Science research areas.
The UNIgreen activities are aimed at enabling the free flow of knowledge, facilitating the acquisition of double or joint European academic degrees and attracting talented students from outside Europe by promoting multilingual approaches in studying, interculturalism and increased inclusiveness.

Venue: Aula Kryształowa, Warsaw University of Life Sciences
The Conference agenda includes a plenary session with the participation of foreign guests and two workshop sessions to discuss UNIgreen main activities. Each workshop meeting will be an occasion to analyze a particular area of the UNIgreen project. The aim of the workshop is to identify opportunities and difficulties related to these areas, as well as the capabilities of our University.
UNIgreen UA
The activities of the UNIgreen alliance include the UNIgreen + UA project.Its purpose is to support the cooperation between SGGW and Ukrainian universities in the course of The Green European University. The Project implementation will commence in 2023 with the participation of representatives of Ukrainian partner universities in the UNIgreen Inaugural Conference. The UNIgreen UA project was developed to provide comprehensive assistance to the scientific community in Ukraine, and as a part of the Solidarity with Ukraine NAWA Program is intended to support cooperation with Ukrainian partner institutions, namely: National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (NULES) in Kiev and Podillia State University (PDATU) in Kamieniec Podolski.
The Project funding is to cover the organization of scientific internships and webinars for Ukrainian PhD students, and some study visits of representatives of Ukrainian universities to UNIgreen partner universities.
