Important: Biosecurity at SGGW Farms (FMD)
In connection with announcements on foot-and-mouth disease, which has recently appeared in Poland’s neighbouring countries, I would like to remind you of the need to observe bio-security principles during livestock herds’ classes.
In connection with the above, I inform you that:
1. parking of cars should take place in areas designated for this purpose by the farm management,
2. participants in classes are required to change their clothes to clean protective clothing and to change their footwear to rubber boots before coming into contact with the animals,
3. academic staff have the right and duty to check the students’ state of preparedness for classes in terms of personal protection,
4. those who do not comply with the bioassurance requirements will not be allowed to participate in the classes
5. class participants are required to follow all farm procedures.
Please be prepared for possible further sanitary restrictions. Independent visits of students to livestock buildings not directly resulting from the scope of the activities carried out during the course, performed under the supervision of the academic teacher, are not allowed.
